DIGIT CERT-EU is seeking to hire a truly motivated IT Security Officer: AI Expert to join our AI Team.
The primary purpose of this role is to enhance the organisation's capacity for studying, testing, fine-tuning, and deploying AI technologies to bolster cybersecurity defences for all involved parties.

The position will consist of:
- Assist in deploying AI-related technologies to increase efficiency of various internal teams.
- Work closely with different teams to help identify possible AI applications that can improve existing processes.
- Help in applying large language models to classify and understand data.
- Learn about the latest trends in AI and cybersecurity to help our team stay ahead.
- Support the integration of AI technologies into our existing tools and environments.
- Offer technical help and advice to our teams on how to use AI tools safely and effectively.
Who we look for
The selected candidate should demonstrate the following required skills and characteristics:
- Programming languages: Python (primary), with familiarity with other languages being a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of open-source Large Language Models (LLMs), including hands-on experience with inference engines such as llama.cpp, vLLM, or similar.
- Understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts, including text preprocessing, tokenization, and language modelling, and knowledge graphs.
- Experience with on-premise infrastructure management, including Linux operating systems and containerization tools like Docker.
- Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data related to AI model performance and impact, with understanding of statistical concepts and metrics.
The selected candidate should also demonstrate the following skills:
- Strong analytical skills to analyse use-cases, define requirements, and choose the most appropriate technologies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers in an international and multi-disciplinary work environment.
- A high degree of commitment and flexibility.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to handle parallel tasks and cope with pressure.
- Strong teamwork abilities.
- A focus on constant learning and improvement of technical and personal skills.
To make your application stand out, please consider that the ideal candidate will possess some, or all, of the following:
- A university-issued diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of solid experience in applying AI technologies – preferably within the cybersecurity domain.
- Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation phases.
- Strong familiarity with cybersecurity principles, threats, and countermeasures.
The candidate must hold a security clearance at EU SECRET level or be in a position to be security cleared.

You must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a post-secondary education diploma
- Meet both of the following conditions:
- Hold a secondary education diploma that provides access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years
- Have professional training or professional experience of an equivalent level, where justified in the interest of the service.
For function group IV
You must meet both of the following criteria:
- Hold a university degree corresponding to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma
- Have professional training of an equivalent level, where justified in the interest of the service.
